BEST PLACE TO EAT CLASSY FOOD IN A HURRY
Pei Wei
By: Tina David Staff Writer

Pei Wei (pronounced pay-way) is a trendy little restaurant with an open kitchen and quaint dining area. The casual-style diner is owned by P.F. Chang's China Bistro and is a great place for an inexpensive meal.

The Asian diner offers a condensed version of P.F. Chang's menu, which includes a
variety of pan-Asian dishes such as noodle bowls, salads, rice bowls and their signature dishes which can be ordered with your choice of beef, chicken, pork, shrimp or vegetables. The made-to-order entrées range from $6 to $10 and are full of flavor.

One recommendation is the Mongolian chicken ($7.75) - sautéed chicken in sweet garlic soy sauce with scallions and white mushrooms, served with your choice of brown or white rice. If you looking for a lighter option, try ordering off the kids' menu. It includes just enough food and a drink for under $5.00.

There are 13 locations throughout Florida including Boca Raton, Wellington and Plantation.

BEST NEAR-CAMPUS RESTAURANT TO VISIT
Campus Bistro
by Phillip Valys Staff Writer

By all accounts, Campus Bistro should be the quintessential FAU sandwich shop. Their scrumptious grease-soaked Philly steak and cheese is called a "Graduate." A grilled chicken with melted provolone sub is labeled an "Undergrad." The penne pasta smothered in marinara and shaved Parmesan is surprisingly dubbed an "Exchange Student."

But ironically, this lunch hideaway isn't a campus staple at all. In fact, it's a clear half-mile north of the Boca campus, unassumingly tucked away inside the heart of FAU's Research and Development Park.

Yet despite being a prime location for ravenous corporate businesspeople, the store manager is set on luring back the college crowd. Campus Bistro's first order of business: cheaper eats. FAU students now get a dollar off any $5 or more purchase.

We recommend health-savvy students first zero in on the Tuscan Salad ($8.95) - roast chicken over a bed of romaine lettuce, mixed greens and hearty steamed veggies. If that wets your whistle, drop by the following day for a "Freshman" ($5.95): a grilled beef burger sub blackened well-done and crowned with mounds of portobello mushrooms, onions, cheese and bacon.

We take it back - Campus Bistro is the quintessential sandwich shop.
