Bubbles, blankets and loud music filled the housing lawn at the Boca campus last week at Hootfest 2008. There was a performance list of up-and-coming artists, as well as artists signed to FAU's own record label, Hoot/Wisdom Recordings.

Hootfest is an event that began in 2006 to introduce bands from the record label to the student population.

Every so often, I take a bold step by investing in a new CD. If you're anything like me, you're very picky about what music you buy, and subsequently which songs will make it past one play count on your iPod.

I first heard B. Reith (pronounced R i-th) at a concert and was immediately attracted to his unique style of soulful singing, mixed with lyrical rapping.

FAU police identified the body found dead Tuesday afternoon in a campus apartment as former student Kyle Ramstrum.
